Attack of the Killer Tomatoes

At the code entry screen type in SPLAT and you will hear a splat sound. Now play in any mode and your quarterback will be a tomato.

Dancing Referee

When you are at the coin toss screen press B, B, A, C-Up. The ref will now do a little dance.

Choose Extra Plays

When selecting your plays for offense or defense, hold the R button and the play you want to have and this lets you choose the play above, or hold Z and the play you want to have lets you choose the play below. You can choose up to nine plays now. This way, your friends can't see which play you are doing.

Run out the Clock on Defense

If you know that the computer or person that you are playing against will be trying to get their next play off fast, simply run down the field and get away from the other players at the end of a play. When the other team lines up for their next play, your player will still be running back. The opposing team is not allowed to call hike until you get back, allowing the clock to run out further or even the game. This is great to keep the other team from kicking a crucial field goal or just to make your friends mad.

Two Instant Replay Glitches

1. The first glitch involves the quaterback throwing the football. If you watch every single passing play you will notice that right after the quaterback lets go of the ball the ball will rotate 360 degrees vertically before heading out to the reciever. What this means is that the ball will not do a spin, but a sumersalt. You can also see something similar to this on field goals.

2. The second glitch that I noticed is that when you kick an extra point after the touchdown and the ball has gone perfectly between the uprights the referee will pick up the ball and he will run through the field goal post.

High Stepping Into The Endzone

I think this was left undocumented in the manual, but if you are within 10-yards of the endzone and your press the jump button (usually Up-C) your player will high step his way in if there is enough room between you and any defenders.

Random Stadiums
