Fast Titan
By Kevin Mumm
One major problem with the all-powerful Titan. It's slow. Here's a trick to make it shoot faster: After you get a nitro, pick up a Titan powerup. Use your nitro for about half a second and fire the Titan. Continue to hold the nitro for about 1/4 of the second after the Titan is launched. The Titan will now shoot as fast as a mug missle.
Bike Specifications
By Kevin Mumm
For some odd reason, Acclaim left out the specifications of the different bikes in the N64 version of Forsaken.
Open Up Battle Mode
By Kevin Mumm
On the PRESS START screen enter the "Access all levels code:" A, R, Z, Up, Up, C-Up, C-Down and C-Down. The screen should say MISSIONS OPEN. You can now enter the Battle Mode. If you don't want to cheat and rather earn the Battle Mode, do the following: To get the Bronze battle mode, complete the Death To The Invader level (on the left branch of levels). To get the Silver battle mode beat the Ramqan level (on the middle branch of levels). To get the Gold battle mode do the Balalas level (on the right branch of levels).
Access hidden levels
By Kevin Mumm
Forsaken has levels set up in a branching manner. In order to reach the other levels in the branch, you must complete each level as fast as you can. If you're fast enough, you can complete the game with the best ending. If you beat level 1 in two minutes and 30 seconds or less, you'll go to the medium difficulty levels branch. Finish Level 1 in one minute and 40 seconds or less and you will go to the hard difficulty levels branch. Other than the first level, there are more levels that will reward you if you beat them quickly. There are also alternate exits to some levels.
Unlimited Lives
By Kevin Mumm
Find a level with a resinic reanimator (extra life), get it, then abort the mission. Now start it back and get it again, and abort the mission. Do this as many times as you wish for as many lives as you want.
Kill Metatank Easily
By Kevin Mumm
Do you have problems taking out the hovering metatanks? To
kill a metatank without getting hit, go right under it, where it
can't shoot you. Just keep blasting away until it blows up. Be
careful though, the explosion damages your craft, so back away
when the tank is almost dead. Secret Characters There are eight
secret characters in the game, making a total of 16 selectable
characters. Their names are Septre, Ex-Cop, Jo, Nubia, Cerbero,
Mephistofun, Hk-5, and Dr. Nepenthe (Nutta). Here is how to
unlock them:
Each of the eight characters are located somewhere within the
levels of the single player game. If you find a character blow
them away. After you successfully kill them, you will be able to
select them on the Biker select screen. If you have unlocked the
Battle Mode you can unlock them by killing them within the eight
battle mode levels. Sometimes if you use CPU opponents in the
multiplayer mode, one of these secret characters will be a CPU
drone.
Various Tips
By Kevin Mumm
(1) You can change the ship you're using in a single-player game. What you do is this: between missions in the single-player game, go into multiplayer and select the ship you want to use. Then use B to back out right away, or get into the multiplayer game itself, and abort. (Just make sure you don't end up on the ship-selection screen again, or you'll get Lokesanna every time.) From the main menu, select single player, and say "no" to start new game. You can now resume the single player game with the new ship. Verify this by going into 3rd person view momentarily, after starting the next mission.
(2) You can save any number of missions (after the 1st save point) in the single-player game by replaying a save-point mission. This comes in handy after the 2nd save point (the temple mission). The missions get *very* hard, and it's very frustrating to have to replay them all, just to get killed or fail in the protect Matrix mission over and over again. I recommend replaying the temple mission to accomplish this; it's much easier (and quicker) than the Metatank mission. In other words, play up to the point where you want to save, because the following mission is a bitch. Then go replay the temple mission, and save when you complete it. Your entire progress will be saved.
(3) Going forward while also sliding left or right will increase your speed. This is a common trick that started with Doom, as far as I know. But on top of this, if you slide along a wall (strafe into it, while moving along it) you'll blaze along faster even than when using a nitro.
